Who we are

xx:59 is a private running coaching platform operated by Coach Conor as a sole trader. When you use xx:59, Conor is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

If you have any questions about how your data is handled, you can contact us at any time using the details at the bottom of this page.

What data we collect

Coaching data

Your name, email address, and information you share during onboarding — including your running background, goals, race targets, and any injury or health notes you choose to provide.

Training plan data

Your personalised training sessions, session completion status, effort ratings, comments, and any notes exchanged with your coach.

Strava activity data (if connected)

If you choose to connect your Strava account, we access: activity date and type, distance, average pace, average heart rate, and elapsed time. We do not access your Strava profile, followers, segments, or clubs.

How we use your data

We use your data solely to deliver your coaching service. Specifically:

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside the coaching relationship.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Realtime Database), hosted in the europe-west1 region (Belgium). This means your data stays within the UK/EEA.

Session reminder emails are sent via Resend. AI coaching notes are generated via the Anthropic API — only the session details are sent, never your personal profile or health information.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as you are an active athlete with xx:59. If you stop coaching with us, your data will be deleted within 30 days of your request.

Strava activity data previously synced to your plan will be removed within 48 hours of disconnecting your Strava account.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact Coach Conor directly. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract — it is necessary to deliver the coaching service you have signed up for. Where you have connected Strava, we process that data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Cookies

xx:59 does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Firebase may set a session cookie for authentication purposes only.
